VenDarts Online

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of VenDarts Online, an online multiplayer darts service provided by The Ven Group. By using VenDarts Online, you agree to these Terms and to the VenDarts Online Community Rules.

Last updated: 29 August 2026

1. About VenDarts Online

VenDarts Online allows players to play darts remotely against other players using their own physical dartboard and darts.

Features may include Quick Match, Play a Friend, live match scoring, camera and microphone connectivity, match history, player statistics and other multiplayer features.

VenDarts Online may be updated, changed or expanded over time. Features may be introduced, changed or removed as the service develops.

2. Eligibility and responsible use

You are responsible for ensuring that you are legally permitted to use VenDarts Online and any device, camera or microphone used with it.

You must use VenDarts Online lawfully, responsibly and in accordance with these Terms and the Community Rules.

3. Player identity and accounts

VenDarts Online may use player profiles, identifiers or accounts to provide multiplayer functionality and associate matches, statistics, preferences and other information with a player.

You must not impersonate another person, deliberately misrepresent your identity or use another player's account without permission.

As VenDarts Online develops, account and authentication methods may change.

4. Genuine scoring and fair play

VenDarts Online relies on players entering scores that genuinely reflect the darts they have thrown.

Deliberately entering false scores, claiming darts that were not thrown, manipulating match information or otherwise attempting to obtain an unfair advantage is prohibited.

Mistakes can happen. An accidental scoring error is not automatically considered cheating. However, repeated or deliberate false scoring may be treated as a breach of these Terms and the Community Rules.

5. Nine-dart average

VenDarts Online may use a nine-dart average to help establish or understand a player's normal playing level.

Where a nine-dart average is requested, players must make a genuine attempt and enter the scores actually achieved.

Chaos gameplay does not affect the VenDarts Online nine-dart average. Chaos can deliberately alter normal scoring conditions and is therefore kept separate from calculations intended to represent a player's standard darts ability.

The way player level, averages and matchmaking are calculated may evolve as VenDarts Online develops.

6. Matchmaking

Quick Match may attempt to connect you with another available player. Matchmaking does not guarantee an opponent of identical ability, location, connection quality or playing style.

Play a Friend may allow players to create or join private rooms using a room code. You are responsible for sharing private room information only with people you intend to play.

7. Camera and microphone

Online matches may use your device camera and microphone to allow players to see and communicate with one another during a match.

Your device will require appropriate camera and microphone permission before those features can operate.

VenDarts Online is not designed as a video recording service. Under the current service architecture, live camera and microphone media is transmitted between players for the live match and is not recorded or stored by VenDarts Online.

Match information and technical information required to establish or operate an online connection are separate from the live camera/audio media itself.

8. Camera conduct and privacy

You are responsible for what is visible or audible through your camera and microphone.

You must not intentionally transmit illegal, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise seriously inappropriate material.

Take reasonable care not to expose private information, documents, screens, addresses or other material that you do not want another player to see or hear.

9. Player behaviour

Players must treat opponents reasonably and follow the VenDarts Online Community Rules.

Prohibited behaviour includes:

More detailed expectations are set out in the Community Rules.

10. Leaving and interrupted matches

Online matches depend on internet connectivity, devices and third-party network services. Connections may occasionally be interrupted or lost.

VenDarts Online may distinguish between matches that finish normally and matches that are interrupted, abandoned or otherwise not completed.

Players should not deliberately leave matches simply to avoid a likely loss or repeatedly disrupt matches in bad faith.

11. Reports, blocking and moderation

VenDarts Online is being developed with fair-play and player-safety features that may include reporting, blocking, warnings, suspensions and permanent restrictions.

Where a moderation feature is available, information submitted through it must be provided honestly. Deliberately making false or malicious reports may itself be treated as misuse of the service.

The Ven Group may take reasonable action where necessary to protect players, the service or the integrity of online play. The availability and operation of individual moderation tools may change as VenDarts Online develops.

12. Match information and history

VenDarts Online may retain information relating to online rooms and matches. This may include information such as match format, players, scores, match state, results and timestamps where those features are available.

Match information may be used to operate the service and, where applicable, provide match history, statistics, fair-play systems, troubleshooting and support.

Completed and other genuine match records may be retained rather than automatically deleted when a match ends.

13. Service availability

We aim to keep VenDarts Online available and reliable, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, internet failures, third-party service interruptions, technical problems or circumstances outside The Ven Group's reasonable control.

14. Devices, internet and equipment

You are responsible for your own dartboard, darts, compatible device, internet connection and any data or network charges associated with using VenDarts Online.

Camera, microphone and online performance may vary depending on your device, permissions, network and connection quality.

15. Safety

Darts are physical sporting equipment. Players are responsible for creating a safe playing environment and ensuring that people, animals and property are clear of the throwing area.

Do not allow use of VenDarts Online to distract you from safely throwing or retrieving darts.

16. Purchases and subscriptions

VenDarts Online may offer paid features, subscriptions or other purchases in the future.

Where a purchase is offered, the applicable price and purchase terms will be displayed before you agree to buy. Purchases made through an app store may also be subject to the relevant store's terms and payment policies.

17. Misuse of the service

You must not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer for malicious purposes, exploit, overload, bypass security controls or gain unauthorised access to VenDarts Online, its systems or another player's information.

Automated abuse, deliberate service disruption and attempts to manipulate multiplayer systems are prohibited.

18. Intellectual property

VenDarts, VenDarts Online, their software, branding, graphics, designs and original content are owned by or licensed to The Ven Group, except where otherwise stated.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of any VenDarts or VenDarts Online intellectual property to users.

19. Third-party services

VenDarts Online may rely on third-party technology and infrastructure to provide authentication, online connectivity, data services, app distribution and other functionality.

Availability of those services may affect the operation of VenDarts Online.

20. Limitation of responsibility

VenDarts Online is provided as a consumer software service. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Ven Group is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside its reasonable control, including internet outages, device failures, third-party service interruptions or another user's conduct.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

21. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as VenDarts Online develops, new functionality is introduced or legal and operational requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page together with its latest update date.

22. Privacy

Information about how The Ven Group handles personal information and VenDarts Online data is provided in our Privacy Policy.
